If you fail to plan, then your plans will fail. This is an opinion used to influence a positive outcome. But the main characters in today’s sermon learned that sometimes God will mess up your plans.
Dr. E. Dewey Smith Jr. refers to Paul’s second missionary journey with Silas and Timothy was prevented by the Holy Spirit from entering certain areas. They intended to go somewhere without God’s guidance and stamp of approval. We do likewise in our approach to seek goals or to personalize our diagram for the future.
As you take into account the three elements proposed by Dr. Smith, you will discover that God will curtail your plans to teach you to abide by the wisdom of the Holy Spirit. Allow Him to direct your path.
