There's Still Some Good in Me | Part 2

How many of us are living our lives trying to prove something to other people? If we aren’t careful, our family, ex-boyfriends, current girlfriends, frenemies, classmates, and coworkers can all influence our perception of ourselves!  A relationship with Jesus Christ is an intimate encounter that reveals our innermost thoughts, feelings, and vulnerabilities. Many of us try to overcompensate for the lack of relationship with Jesus in our lives.  In this impactful message, Dr. E. Dewey Smith, Jr. encourages us to never let the issues we face prevent us from living a full and authentic life!  He cautions that if we spend our time trying to prove ourselves to others, we will ultimately lose sight of our earthly purpose and never truly be fulfilled.  In the book of Luke, Zacchaeus finally realized that he longed for something more than the superficial life he had built to impress others.  Like Zacchaeus, we can also live a life of authenticity if we are willing to draw nearer to Jesus.
