The March For Our Lives

Executive Pastor Jennifer Carner’s Psalm Sunday Message focuses on both the biblical and the contemporary. Just as Jesus marched into the city where He was betrayed by Judas, students marched into the nation’s Capitol on March 24, 2018, to address elected officials betrayal to safely protect them from mass shootings in schools. Jesus’ march saves our eternal lives, as the student marched to save our mortal lives from gun violence.

This message of hope shows that as Jesus faced the crowd, He saw the lives of those who needed saving. The students gazed upon the faces of their peers and demanded that elected officials do their jobs and protect them. Listen to this message to understand how these two events, separated by over 2000 years, are paralleled by biblical principles, qualifying both as the marches for our lives.
