Hey, Black Child

Do you know who you are?  Do you know where you are going?  Do you know you are strong?  In this sermon, Pastor Reginald Sharpe, Jr. compares the child in the poem “Hey, Black Child” by Countee Cullen to the biblical boy in John Chapter 6. The boy provided the five barley loaves and two fish that Jesus needed to feed 5,000 men, women, and children.  As children of God, we must not let our perceived identity, distractions, or our ability prevent us from being used by God to bless others. When we recognize our worth, God will affirm and anoint us to do great things.
