Did you know that there is a psychology to jealousy and envy? In this clinical sermon, Pastor Reginald Sharpe, Jr. uses the Parable of the Elder Brother to define the psychology of a “hater.” A hater is a jealous person who will attempt to expose the flaws of another person. Many haters cannot be happy for another individual because they have mismanaged their own resources. In order to defend against this poisonous mentality, we must remember to be thankful for what we have. We must run our own race and celebrate the blessings of others when God is working in their lives. As a reward, we will come to a complete understanding of our Heavenly Father’s goodness and His works that endure from generation to generation.
