Do you know that life and death is in the power of the tongue? Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.
On this miraculous Sunday, Dr. E. Dewey Smith explains the story of Zacharias and Elisabeth. God sent His angel, Gabriel to tell Zacharias that he and Elisabeth would have a son, John the Baptist. God shut Zacharias’ mouth so that he could not speak doubt against what He promised. Dr. Smith informs us that when you pray for God to do something you cannot doubt Him during the process. You may need to experience laryngitis; so that you may not allow your tongue to hinder you from receiving your miracle.
Your ability to believe in what God has told you cannot be defined by the hardships you face while doing it. It is not the hardships that God measures or looks upon, it is the results.
