A Law, Life, and Death Situation

In this Spirit-filled Law Enforcement appreciation service, Dr. E. Dewey Smith, Jr. uses the story of Paul, Silas, and the prison guard to illustrate the point that citizens and law enforcement both have responsibility to uphold and promote peace in our communities.  Dr. Smith emphatically teaches that we must all be careful about preconceived notions.  Though Paul and Silas were unfairly targeted and arrested for spreading the gospel, God used their affliction to bring understanding and salvation to the lost.  Paul and Silas had the temerity to praise God in the midst their terrible circumstance.  As a result, the relationship between law enforcement and the community was restored in both a healing and transformative experience with God.
