The Presence of Fear

By Amanda Usher

"...For I have chosen you and will not throw you away. Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand."

Isaiah 41:9-10 (NLT)

It's easier to walk in fear than it is to exhibit bravery during moments of uncertainty. You may be unsure as to what the next step is in your career. You may not know if you should allow a particular person to enter or remain in your life. You may be confused about your purpose.

In a pool of unanswered questions and misdirected paths, it's not difficult to get lost and drown in your fear of the unknown. Often enough it can prevent and discourage you from advancing into the next chapter of your life. It may even make you feel like God has abandoned you.

But He hasn't. It's evident in the Scripture. He will remain with you through periods of uncertainty, confusion, fear and any other element present in your life. He sees your future and will prepare you to enter into it if you allow Him to do so. Don't ignore your blessings all because you're afraid to receive them.

Each of His children serve a purpose, but you may be missing out on yours because you're scared that it may be bigger than what you're ready for at the moment. Truth is, it could very well be bigger than you, but that doesn't mean that you can't tackle and handle it. He gives you the tools to do so. Listen to His will for your life. What He wants to do in your life is a lot more grand than what you want to do, and will take you much further than you think it will.
